Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, has strongly criticised the emerging US-Iran agreement, calling it “very bad” for Israel, the United States, and Gulf countries.
Speaking in an interview with Israel’s Channel 14, Danon said the interim deal risks strengthening Iran’s position by rushing the diplomatic process instead of securing firm long-term guarantees.
“By trying to end the negotiating process as quickly as possible, President Trump allowed Iran to improve its position,” he said.
However, he added that the situation remains fluid and not yet final.
“But we have to wait. There is no decision yet — only a framework for the continuation of negotiations,” Danon noted.
Trump’s earlier warning on Iran deal
The comments come amid ongoing debate over the US-Iran understanding announced at the G7 summit in France.
US President Donald Trump has described the agreement as a “memorandum of understanding,” stressing that it remains conditional and could collapse if Iran does not comply.
“If I don’t like it, we’ll go back to shooting at them, dropping bombs on their head,” Trump said, adding that military action could resume if Tehran fails to meet expectations.
