An injured passenger in the Balochistan bus crash has claimed that the driver had a heated argument with passengers over diesel before the accident and allegedly threatened them during the exchange.
Speaking to Samaa TV, the injured passenger said the bus was scheduled to depart at 4pm but did not leave until 6pm. He alleged that the driver's behaviour towards passengers was inappropriate throughout the journey.
Passenger urges FC to clear bus after diesel seizure
The passenger said the bus was stopped at an FC checkpoint, where officials found an excessive quantity of diesel on board. He said an elderly passenger got off the bus and asked FC personnel that, if the issue concerned diesel smuggling, they should remove the fuel and allow the bus to continue so that passengers could reach their homes.
According to the passenger, FC officials removed six cans of diesel before allowing the bus to proceed.
Passengers oppose bid to remove elderly man from bus
He claimed that, after the bus resumed its journey, the driver confronted the elderly passenger and asked why he had spoken to FC personnel. The driver allegedly said he would force the elderly man off the bus. Other passengers objected, saying they would all leave the bus if the elderly passenger was removed.
The passenger said the driver stopped the bus again a short distance later, leading to another exchange. Three passengers from Peshawar allegedly told the driver that he could remove them from the bus there, but they would confront him once they reached Peshawar.

According to the injured passenger, the driver replied: "You will confront me only if you reach Peshawar alive." The passenger claimed the bus crashed shortly afterwards.
The tragic accident in Sherani district of Balochistan claimed the lives of 40 passengers, while several others were injured.
