The final of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 will be played on Sunday at Lord’s between Australia and England.
Australia into final after eight-wicket victory over West Indies
Australia reached the final after defeating West Indies in the first semi-final by eight wickets. West Indies were restricted to 125 for seven in their innings. Australia chased down the target with the loss of two wickets, securing victory in the 13th over.
England into final after 40-run victory over South Africa
England qualified for the final after a 40-run win over South Africa in the second semi-final at The Oval. England posted 169 for five after winning the toss and opting to bat. South Africa, in reply, were bowled out for 129 for eight in their allotted 20 overs.
The Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) has urged its members to attend the final at Lord’s. The club seeks to avoid a repeat of the 2017 final, when empty seats were seen in the members’ stand during England’s victory.
England had lifted the Women’s World Cup title in 2017, when around 24,000 spectators were present at the ground.
