The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has appointed further foreign coaches with the aim of improving and reviving hockey in the country.
The decision follows Pakistan’s disappointing conclusion to the recent FIH Pro League season. The federation has announced a high-performance coaching team as part of its restructuring plan.
Move to restore Pakistan hockey’s former standing
David Dwyer has been appointed as fitness and high-performance coach. Bob Johan Veldhof has been named goalkeeping coach.
Chris Bowen has been appointed sports psychologist for the PHF setup. Adnan Zaki has been assigned as junior talent identification coach.
Herman Kruis has already been appointed head coach of the team. The international coaching staff will work with both senior and junior national hockey teams.
The move is linked with the objective of restoring the past standing of Pakistan hockey.
