Former Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas said on Friday that he has joined the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) to work for the stability of the country.
He made the announcement during a press conference held alongside IPP President Abdul Aleem Khan. The development comes ahead of elections in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, marking a significant political shift.
Abdul Aleem Khan welcomes Ilyas, others with verve
Sardar Tanveer Ilyas formally joined the IPP and was welcomed by Abdul Aleem Khan, who extended congratulations on his inclusion in the party.
He stated that when Abdul Aleem Khan formed the IPP, he had also been part of the same political team.
He said that every resident of Azad Kashmir holds deep respect and affection for the Pakistan Armed Forces.
