Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) President Abdul Aleem Khan appointed on Friday Sardar Tanveer Ilyas, former prime minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), as the president of the party’s AJK chapter.
According to party notification, Nisar Ansar Abdali has been named as the IPP Azad Kashmir chapter general secretary. The appointments were made following formal approval and signatures by Abdul Aleem Khan.

A press conference was held in Islamabad, where IPP President Abdul Aleem Khan, senior party leaders, including Sardar Tanveer Ilyas, were present alongside new entrants to the party.
During the briefing, party leadership welcomed the new members into the fold.
Sardar Tanveer Ilyas, speaking on the occasion, said the IPP leadership, under Abdul Aleem Khan, has pledged to address the grievances and deprivation faced by the people of Kashmir.
The party reiterated its commitment to organisational expansion in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
