The federal government issued on Monday the gazette notification of the Finance Act 2026–27.
Federal Budget 2026–27 enforcement from July 1
With this, implementation of the federal budget for the new financial year will commence from 1 July. According to the notification, all tax measures, duties and financial decisions included in the budget for 2026–27 shall come into force from the stated date. The federal budget 2026–27 had earlier been passed by the National Assembly, after which the President of Pakistan signed the Finance Bill.
Finance Act 2026–27 attains legal status after presidential assent
Following presidential assent, the bill was forwarded to the Printing Corporation of Pakistan for publication of the gazette notification.
With the issuance of the gazette notification, the Finance Act 2026–27 has attained legal status, and implementation of the new financial year budget will begin from July 1.
