The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly approved a supplementary budget comprising additional expenditure of Rs121 billion for the current financial year in the absence of the opposition.
Opposition walks out after cut motions barred
The opposition did not take part in the voting after it was not allowed to move cut motions and staged a walk-out from the House. According to the assembly session was chaired by Speaker Babar Saleem Swati. Provincial Minister for Law and Finance Aftab Alam, along with other ministers, presented the departments' demands for grants before the House.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) member Sobia Shahid first protested in front of the speaker's dais after being denied permission to move cut motions and later walked out with other opposition members.
House approves 59 grant demands without Opposition
The House approved 59 demands for grants in the absence of the opposition. Provincial Minister for Law and Finance Aftab Alam also presented the authenticated schedule for the current financial year before the Assembly.
An amount of Rs50.49 billion was spent on current expenditure, while Rs71.73 billion was allocated to the development budget.
