United States President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that Iran had informed his country that no tolls, insurance costs or any other charges were being sought or received from ships travelling through the Strait of Hormuz.
POTUS warns of talks halt
Trump said no money had been given to Iran by the United States and no frozen funds had been released to Tehran. The US president said incorrect information about the matter could lead to the suspension of negotiations.
US funds to buy farm goods for Iran
The United States president said some Iranian funds under US control would be used to purchase agricultural goods, including corn, wheat and other commodities from American farmers and send them to Iran.
US to arrange farm purchases for Iran
He said food was urgently needed in Iran and the United States would arrange purchases of agricultural products for the country.
