Pakistan’s Foreign Office has said it is seeking official confirmation from Qatari authorities after reports emerged that Pakistani nationals were affected in a fire at a gas processing plant in Qatar.
A fire broke out at a gas processing plant in Qatar, with initial reports suggesting that some Pakistani nationals may have been affected in the incident.
According to local media reports, the deceased include Pakistani and Indian nationals. However, Pakistani officials said formal confirmation from the Qatari government is still awaited.

The Pakistani embassy in Doha is in touch with the Qatari government to verify details of the incident and confirm whether Pakistani citizens were among the casualties or injured.

Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Andrabi said Pakistani officials are also trying to collect information from members of the Pakistani community in Qatar.
Three Pakistanis reportedly injured
According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, community members have so far reported that three Pakistani nationals were injured in the incident.
Tahir Andrabi said no official information has yet been received from the Qatari government regarding casualties or the condition of affected Pakistanis.
FO awaits official confirmation
The Foreign Office said final information will be shared once confirmed details are received from Qatari authorities.
Officials said Pakistan’s mission in Doha remains engaged with the relevant Qatari departments and community representatives to gather accurate information about the incident.
