Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has returned to Pakistan after completing his visit to Switzerland, where he attended high-level Iran-US talks under the framework of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The premier described the negotiations as positive and constructive, saying significant progress was achieved toward a final agreement.
Prime Minister Sharif left for Pakistan from Zurich after concluding his official visit to Switzerland. Senior Swiss officials and Pakistan's Ambassador to Switzerland Marghub Saleem Butt bid farewell to the prime minister at Zurich airport before his departure.
The prime minister was accompanied by Field Marshal Asim Munir, who also participated in the high-level discussions held in Bürgenstock.

First high-level committee meeting concludes
In a message shared on social media following the talks, Prime Minister Shehbaz said the first meeting of the High-Level Committee established under the Islamabad MoU had concluded successfully.
"Alhamdulillah," the premier wrote, adding that discussions were held in a positive and constructive atmosphere and yielded encouraging progress.
According to the prime minister, participants agreed on a roadmap aimed at reaching a final agreement within the next 60 days. He said the meeting also resulted in the establishment of a High-Level Committee that will provide political oversight to the process.
Technical talks to continue
The prime minister said further technical-level negotiations would now move forward as part of efforts to finalize the broader agreement.
He emphasized that Pakistan would continue to play an honest and sincere role in promoting dialogue and diplomacy aimed at achieving a peaceful and lasting resolution.
Prime Minister Sharif commended the leadership of both the United States and Iran for maintaining their commitment to constructive engagement throughout the process. He also thanked all brotherly and friendly countries that supported efforts to advance what he described as a historic diplomatic initiative.

The PM paid special tribute to Qatar for its critical role in creating the conditions and environment necessary for the negotiations to move forward. He also expressed gratitude to the Swiss government for hosting and facilitating the talks in Bürgenstock, Switzerland.
Tribute to Field Marshal Munir
Prime Minister Shehbaz paid special tribute to Field Marshal Asim Munir, saying his untiring efforts were instrumental in making the talks a success.
"His dedication, commitment and perseverance are indeed commendable," the premier said, adding that there would have been no progress without his efforts.
He further stated that the Field Marshal's determination, steadfastness and tireless work played a central role in advancing the negotiations.
Appreciation for Ishaq Dar, Mohsin Naqvi
The prime minister also extended his warm compliments and heartfelt gratitude to Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar for his diplomatic efforts and the work carried out by the Foreign Office team.
In addition, he acknowledged the contribution of Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, saying his hard work and efforts contributed immensely to the success of the talks.
