At 83, Amitabh Bachchan remains one of India’s most active film icons. Yet, in a rare personal reflection, the veteran star has admitted that even a single day without work feels unsettling.
Writing on his personal blog, Amitabh Bachchan described how deeply routine is embedded in his life.
He shared that missing a day of work disrupts a rhythm built over more than six decades in cinema, making the day feel unfamiliar and disjointed.
“It seems disturbing to not be working each day… the day suddenly becomes a mystery of deeds,” he wrote.
When routine breaks, stability shifts
The actor reflected that routine is not merely a habit—it provides structure and stability.
When that structure breaks, even temporarily, it can lead to a sense of unease and confusion about how the day unfolds.
He further noted that such disruptions can trigger anxiety, especially when one cannot restore that rhythm.
According to him, living in a state of uncertainty or restlessness can impact both mental and physical well-being.
Despite his thoughts on slowing down, Amitabh Bachchan continues to stay professionally active.
He was last seen hosting the popular quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati, where he remains a familiar face for millions of viewers.
The actor is also working on the sequel to Kalki 2898 AD, a high-profile project that features stars like Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan.
