Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has decided not to increase the prices of petroleum products.
According to details, the prime minister said the decision had been taken to reduce the burden on the common man, adding that relief would be provided to the public despite difficult circumstances.
It may be recalled that amid the ongoing conflict between Iran, the United States and Israel, and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, rising prices in the global market had prompted an announcement of an increase of up to Rs55 per litre in diesel and petrol in Pakistan.
