Former Pakistani cricket captain Shoaib Malik has strongly dismissed circulating reports claiming he has married for a fourth time.
The cricketer addressed the rumours on social media, emphasizing that they are entirely unverified and misleading.
Malik wrote:
“Unverified stories about my personal life have been written without my permission. People have targeted my wife with negative remarks for the things she was never involved in and that’s unacceptable for me.”
He added that these “lame accusations” are causing unnecessary distress and warned:
“Failure to do so will result in strict legal action from my team against individuals and firms.”
Background
The rumours emerged after social media platforms were flooded with claims of Malik remarrying. The cricketer had previously married actress Sana Javed in 2023 following his split from tennis star Sania Mirza, who is the mother of his child.
His earlier marriage to Ayesha Siddiqui ended in 2010 after eight years.
Malik’s statement clarifies that any reports of a new marriage are false and legally actionable, underscoring his commitment to protecting his family from baseless allegations.
