US President Donald Trump has declined to intervene in the tension between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Speaking to journalists, Trump praised the Pakistan Army’s strikes against the Afghan Taliban regime and said Pakistan was moving forward in a remarkable manner.
He said he enjoyed very good relations with Pakistan and added that the country had a great prime minister and an excellent Field Marshal. He said he held both men in high regard.
It is to be noted that Pakistan’s armed forces continue to deliver a strong and effective response to what was described as unprovoked aggression by the Afghan Taliban regime last night.
Information Minister Atta Tarar shared details of Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq on X, stating that 297 operatives of the Afghan Taliban regime had so far been killed, while 450 khawarij were injured in Pakistan’s robust retaliatory action.
He said 29 locations inside Afghanistan were targeted in air strikes. Pakistan destroyed 135 tanks and vehicles of the Afghan Taliban regime, while Pakistani forces took control of 18 check posts. A further 89 Taliban check posts were destroyed.
