The Steering Committee, chaired by Sindh Education Minister Sardar Ali Shah, approved the regular schedule for the academic year 2026-27, including commencement, admissions, examinations, and holidays.
According to the statement, the academic year 2026-27 will commence on 1 April 2026. Admissions up to ninth grade will continue from 1 March to 31 March 2026. Examinations for ninth and tenth grades will be held from 30 March to 15 April 2026. The tenth grade results will be announced on 1 June, while the ninth grade results will be published on 15 June 2026.
Admissions for the eleventh grade will be completed under the Central Admission Policy from 1 June until the last week of July 2026. Similarly, examinations for eleventh and twelfth grades will take place from 15 April to 30 April 2026. Twelfth grade results will be issued on 15 June, and eleventh grade results on 1 July 2026.
Students from first to third grades will be promoted to the next grade without examinations. Examinations for fourth to eighth grades will be conducted from 1 March to 15 March 2026.
The meeting approved summer holidays from 1 June to 31 July 2026 and winter holidays from 21 December to 31 December 2026. The committee also declared 2026 as the Year of Environmental Awareness, instructing all educational institutions to conduct tree-planting campaigns and encouraging each student and teacher to plant at least one tree.
