After a one-day decline, the gold price in Pakistan resumed its upward trend on Thursday, with rates climbing across all categories, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
The price of 24-karat gold per tola increased by Rs1,523, reaching Rs 469.285 in the local market. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold rose by Rs1,305, settling at Rs402,335.

For 22-karat gold (10 grams), the rate climbed to Rs368,821, marking an increase of Rs1,197.
International gold market
In the global market, gold prices also moved upward.
The international gold rate increased by $14.5 per ounce, reaching $4,468.5, reflecting continued volatility in global commodity markets.
Experts say local prices in Pakistan typically follow international trends alongside changes in exchange rates.
Silver prices in Pakistan
However, silver prices recorded a decline in the domestic market. The price of silver per tola dropped by Rs97, reaching Rs7,797.
Meanwhile, 10 grams of silver decreased by Rs83.
