Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to embark on a two-day official visit to Qatar starting today, the Foreign Office spokesperson confirmed on Monday.
The visit aims to strengthen bilateral relations and explore new avenues for cooperation across key sectors.
According to the Foreign Office, the premier will be accompanied by Ishaq Dar, other ministers, and senior government officials.
Officials said the visit reflects the deep brotherly relations between Pakistan and Qatar.
During his stay in Doha, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is expected to meet with Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
Discussions are set to cover political, economic, energy, and people-to-people ties between the two countries.
Focus on trade, investment, and energy
The Foreign Office spokesperson said the leaders will explore ways to enhance trade, investment, and energy cooperation.
They will also consider new opportunities in infrastructure development and manpower export to further strengthen bilateral economic ties.
Officials noted that in addition to bilateral matters, the two leaders are expected to discuss the evolving regional and global situation.
The visit aims to deepen diplomatic coordination and shared understanding on key international issues.
The Foreign Office expressed hope that the visit will promote peace, stability, and prosperity in the region.
It is expected that the high-level engagements in Doha will reinforce long-standing relations between Pakistan and Qatar.
