The Pakistan Super League (PSL) administration is considering the inclusion of high-profile, household-name cricketers for the 11th edition of the tournament.
Sources divulged that the franchises are likely to be granted permission to contact players directly. Efforts are under way to attract leading international players for the next edition of the league.
Under the proposed arrangement, franchises would be allowed to secure international cricketers through direct agreements.
According to sources, PSL management is expected to allocate an additional $100,000 to each franchise.
Discussions have already taken place between PSL officials and England batter Joe Root, whose participation in the 11th edition is regarded as likely.
