Former Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim on Sunday confirmed his divorce from his wife, Sania Ashfaq.
In a statement posted on Instagram, Wasim said that after prolonged consideration and unresolved differences over several years, he had filed for divorce. He urged the public to respect their privacy and to refrain from sharing old photographs of the couple.

He also asked that Sania Ashfaq no longer be described as his spouse and cautioned against what he termed misleading narratives, adding that any attempt to defame or involve others would be dealt with through legal channels if required.
Referring to their children, Wasim said he remained their father and would continue to care for them fully and responsibly.
"Thankyou for your understanding and respect,” Wasim maintained.
