Celebrated actor and singer Fawad Khan said Lahore’s winter fog has a charm of its own — one that can make “anyone fall in love”.
The star opened up about the city’s nostalgic romance while promoting his upcoming film Neelofar alongside Mahira Khan.
In a recent interview with journalist Maleeha Rehman, Fawad Khan shared that he fell in love with his wife, Sadaf, at first sight.
He recalled that the moment happened during the winter of 1998, a time when Lahore’s fog defined the season — not the smog it is known for today.
According to Fawad, he first saw Sadaf at a restaurant called Four Seasons on MM Alam Road. The place, which he described as similar to a banquet hall, served as the backdrop for the life-changing moment.
‘Love happens in fog’
Reflecting on the city’s past, Fawad said Lahore once had a very different winter atmosphere.
He added that the city still holds a classical romantic aura, especially when wrapped in fog — a setting he believes makes falling in love almost effortless.
Fawad Khan and Sadaf married in 2005. The couple has been together since their early years and are now parents to three children: a son, Ayaan, and two daughters, Alaina and Biya.
The actor’s nostalgic retelling comes at a time when he and Mahira Khan are gearing up for the release of Neelofar, a romantic drama that has rekindled fan excitement around their on-screen chemistry.
