Former Pakistani supermodel and actress Vaneezah Ahmed has revealed that she once battled early-stage cancer but recovered completely without medical procedures, crediting her healing to spiritual prayers and the recitation of Quranic verses.
During her appearance on a morning show, Vaneezah Ahmed Ahmed spoke candidly about her health journey, disclosing that she was diagnosed with lymphoma, a type of cancer that affects the lymphatic system, many years ago.
She shared that at the time of her illness, social media was not prevalent, and she was leading a busy, fulfilling life filled with international travel for fashion shows and modeling assignments. She said she never imagined falling ill given her active and healthy lifestyle.
From headaches to cancer diagnosis
Recounting the incident, the actress said that during a period of frequent travel — from Malaysia to America, Sri Lanka, and then back to Pakistan — she began suffering from severe headaches that persisted for days.
While working for Sun TV, she missed an interview due to her worsening condition. The channel owner, concerned about her health, sent a doctor named Dr. Juma for a check-up. After an initial examination, she was told she had meningitis and was taken to the hospital for further treatment and testing.
However, her condition did not improve. Soon after, her neck lymph nodes became swollen, prompting another series of tests. Doctors then diagnosed her with stage zero lymphoma, a form of early-stage cancer.
Spiritual healing
Vaneezah Ahmed recalled that she was initially in disbelief, unable to accept that she had cancer or even understand what lymphoma meant. Two weeks later, when doctors reaffirmed the diagnosis, a close friend introduced her to a spiritual woman who guided her to recite specific Surahs and verses from the Holy Quran and engage in consistent prayer.
She said she believes that these prayers played a pivotal role in her recovery. “I didn’t undergo any operation or chemotherapy,” Vaneezah Ahmed said. “Through prayers and spiritual worship, my disease disappeared, and I have been living a healthy life ever since.”
The actress emphasized her belief in the power of spiritual healing, saying that faith and prayer can bring peace and help overcome even the most serious illnesses. Her story, she noted, serves as a reminder that healing comes in many forms — both medical and spiritual.
