DJI’s packed 2025 lineup isn’t slowing down. The company’s upcoming Osmo Pocket 4 looks set to be the next major release, with leaks hinting at a complete redesign, new dual-camera system, and significant video upgrades over its predecessor.
According to New Camera, multiple online sources and social media leaks indicate that the Pocket 4 will sport two lenses, enabling simultaneous recording from both sides — a major upgrade that could make it ideal for reaction videos and vloggers seeking cinematic flexibility.
Leaked renders circulating online — some possibly AI-generated — show what appears to be a secondary lens or depth sensor alongside a dual-screen setup. If accurate, this would mark a substantial leap from the already impressive DJI Osmo Pocket 3, which launched in October 2023.
Reports suggest DJI may use OmniVision’s new 50MP camera sensor for the second lens. The sensor is both compact and powerful, making it an ideal fit for the slim gimbal design of the Pocket 4.
Expected video powerhouse
In terms of video capabilities, the leaks point to 4K recording at up to 240fps and 1080p at 240fps — a sharp improvement over the Pocket 3’s 4K/60fps limit. That would make it one of the most powerful handheld vlogging cameras on the market, capable of slow-motion and ultra-smooth cinematic capture.
Industry insiders also suggest DJI could launch two models this time — a Pro version with the dual-camera setup and a standard version sticking to a single lens.
DJI might be leading the charge now, but competition is heating up. Sources indicate that GoPro, Canon, Oppo, Vivo, and Xiaomi are all developing pocket gimbal cameras of their own, likely debuting in 2026.
That means the Osmo Pocket 4 could hit the market just in time to secure its lead before rivals enter the scene. With more brands entering the vlogging camera market, consumers could soon have a wider range of compact, stabilized shooters to choose from.
When will Pocket 4 launch?
While DJI hasn’t confirmed an official release date, rumors strongly suggest the Osmo Pocket 4 will launch before the end of 2025. The timing would align with DJI’s pattern of releasing major camera hardware in the final quarter of the year.
If true, the Pocket 4 could dominate the vlogging scene going into 2026 — offering creators a sleeker, faster, and more versatile camera experience.
