Dubai’s local brand Roasters Specialty Coffee House set a world record by serving the most expensive cup of coffee, priced at 2,500 dirhams.
Equivalent to about $680, this was not merely a cup of coffee but a complete luxury experience. The beans used were from the world’s rarest and highest-quality Panamanian Geisha coffee, sourced exclusively from the Esmeralda farm.
Black coffee offered more than caffeine; it also provides a wealth of health benefits.
The preparation was unique. It involved handcrafting, a modern temperature-controlled kettle, a special dripper and freshly ground beans.
The presentation was equally special. The coffee was served on a designer table imported from Japan, adding to the exclusivity of the experience.
This record reflects not only the high price but also a growing willingness among people to invest in the experience of drinking coffee, rather than in the drink alone.
