A restaurant in the Canadian city of Windsor has attempted to set a Guinness World Record by preparing the world’s longest minced meat kebab roll.
Smokies BBQ carried out the record attempt on Ottawa Street, eventually producing a kebab roll measuring 81 feet in length.
The owner of the restaurant, Tigran Kadiouchian, said that they were the first to attempt such a record. “Eighty feet is not bad,” he said. “It’s a good start — we’ll do even better next time.”
According to Kadiouchian, the original aim was to create a 100-foot-long roll, but limited preparation and shrinkage during cooking made it unfeasible.
He announced that the restaurant will attempt a new challenge next year, aiming to produce a 200-foot kebab roll.
Once completed, the massive roll was cut into one-foot portions and served to the public.
