A pet parrot in China has astonished the world with its extraordinary intelligence by securing a Guinness World Record for the fastest recognition of colours.
During the attempt, the parrot, Xiaogui, identified and arranged ten different colours in only 33.5 seconds, earning a place in the record books as the most intelligent parrot in the world.
In the challenge, Xiaogui picked up coloured balls and placed them into boxes of the corresponding colour. At one point, the bird mistakenly dropped a dark pink ball into a light pink box but corrected the error immediately, surprising the judges.
Guinness World Records has officially recognised Xiaogui as the world’s fastest parrot in colour recognition.
According to its owner, Feng, the training began when he observed Xiaogui’s interest in playing with coloured balls. This interest became the foundation for gradually teaching the bird how to recognise and sort colours.
