A man in India allegedly disconnected the power supply to an entire village after his girlfriend failed to answer his phone calls.
A video circulating on social media shows the man climbing an electricity pole with a large pair of pliers. Moments later, he is seen cutting a wire, reportedly disrupting power in the village where the woman lives.
According to reports, the man became upset when his repeated calls went unanswered and the line remained engaged. Rather than resolving the matter through conversation, he took the drastic step of cutting the power.
The video has spread widely online and quickly became the subject of memes. Some users described him as a 'real-life film lover', while others joked that he had taken the idea of a power cut to a new level. One comment read that he ought to watch fewer Bollywood films.
