Encounter details
According to Crime Control Department (CCD) sources, a Chohang team took the arrested suspects, Owais and Shahzad, to Raiwind for a raid on their identification.
During the operation, their associates, led by a man named Tauqir, attacked the police in an attempt to free them.

Background: Dispute over Rs30 turned deadly
The suspects had earlier been booked for brutally torturing two brothers, Wajid and Rashid, after a quarrel with fruit vendors over Rs30 in Raiwind.
One brother succumbed to his injuries on the spot, while the other was hospitalized in critical condition and later died after slipping into a coma.
The horrific incident drew nationwide condemnation after a video surfaced showing the brothers lying in blood as vendors beat them with sticks while bystanders looked on without intervening.
Police later arrested Shahzad with the help of technology, while Owais was also taken into custody in connection with the murder.
