After recording gains for three consecutive sessions, gold prices declined in local and international markets on Thursday.
The drop comes amid weakness in global bullion prices, leading to lower rates for both gold and silver in Pakistan.
Gold prices decline across Pakistan
The price of 24-karat gold per tola fell by Rs2,300 to settle at Rs452,936, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA).
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold decreased by Rs2,070, bringing it down to Rs387,615.
In the international market, gold prices declined by $23 per ounce.
Following the drop, the international gold rate stood at $4,305 per ounce, reflecting a broader correction in global bullion markets.
Silver prices register decline
Silver prices also moved lower alongside gold.
The price of silver per tola fell by Rs144 to Rs7,359, while other silver rates also recorded declines in line with international trends.
