Gambling and casino apps have been declared illegal across the country. The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency issued a notification stating that 46 such apps have been declared unlawful, and a list has been released.
According to the notification, the banned apps include unregulated forex trading applications, as well as apps that collect citizens’ personal data and mobile numbers.
The notification further said that, on the request of the Cyber Crime Agency, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) will block all illegal apps.
