Low-level flooding in the Sutlej River has caused widespread destruction in Bahawalnagar and its adjoining areas for the third consecutive day.
According to locals, they remain stranded without assistance, questioning where they could go after leaving their homes submerged in floodwater.
The flood has devastated several areas of Bahawalnagar and Minchinabad, sweeping away crops spread over hundreds of acres after five temporary embankments collapsed at different points.
Residents complain they are forced to wade through floodwaters to reach their homes and allege that no one has come to their aid, nor inquired about their condition.
