A venomous snake was discovered inside the tunnel of a model train set at a residence in Queensland, Australia, prompting the homeowners to call a local snake handler.
The reptile, initially believed to be a rubber toy, was later identified as a live, healthy brown tree snake of considerable size. It had settled inside the model tunnel and was found in a dormant state.
Footage of the safe removal was posted on social media by the handler, who confirmed that the snake had entered the tunnel to prepare for the shedding of its skin.
The snake was later released into the wild and placed on a tree in a nearby forested area.
