Former Finance Minister Miftah Ismail rejected all allegations leveled against him and Ismail Industries. He said the distribution of Rs 97 billion among people has nothing to do with his company.
“This a complete lie and my company has not received a single penny from the Benezir Income Support Program (BISP),” he said.
Miftah Ismael denied the report of selling anything to BISP. However, he acknowledged of selling material to the World Food Program (WFP).

The former finance minister said the government could investigate the matter as well if there were any issues or irregularities in it.
He refuted of having any interests in allegations levelled against him and his compan,y Ismael Industries.
Miftah Ismael dared the government to send the case to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
‘I and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi are NAB specialists,” he added.
On Friday, Senate had referred a matter involving former finance minister Miftah Ismail to the relevant standing committee following allegations of conflict of interest in a major contract related to the Benazir Nashonuma Programme.
The accusations include awarding the contract to his own company without following the mandatory Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) rules.
