The Ministry of Defense has issued a strict directive barring employees of four key subordinate agencies from speaking to the media without prior approval.
According to official sources, the new instructions apply to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA), Airport Security Force (ASF), and the Meteorological Department. The ministry has made it clear that only designated official spokespersons are authorized to engage with the media on behalf of these organizations.
Under the new policy, media outlets must obtain prior permission from the Ministry of Defense before seeking any policy-related statements. Any form of unofficial communication or public comment by department employees has been prohibited.
The directive emphasizes that this policy is being implemented to ensure message consistency, protect sensitive information, and streamline communication with the public.
The ministry has also warned that strict compliance is expected, and any violations may result in disciplinary action. All four agencies have been directed to adhere fully to the updated protocol.
