Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said that India was taught a lesson a month and a half ago, claiming that Indian arrogance has been crushed and its pride dismantled.
Speaking to the media, the minister strongly condemned the restrictions imposed on Muharram processions in Indian-occupied Kashmir, calling it clear evidence of India’s anti-Islam policies.
“India's oppressive actions against Muharram processions are a reflection of its deep-rooted enmity towards Islam,” Asif stated.
Turning his attention to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, the defence minister said, another Karbala is unfolding in Gaza every day, where blood continues to be shed.
He praised the sacrifices of the Palestinian people, saying their resistance revives the spirit of Karbala.
Khawaja Asif urged the Muslim world, both its people and leadership, to recognise their responsibility towards Palestine and to stand in solidarity with the oppressed.
He also lashed out at the Indian leadership, remarking that Modi’s followers have been humiliated and that their arrogance has collapsed.
The defence minister’s remarks come amid escalating regional tensions and continued criticism of India’s policies in Kashmir and its handling of religious freedoms.
