Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reached Shusha, Karabakh, Azerbaijan, on a two-day official visit to participate in the 17th Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Summit, which is being held in Khankendi.
He was warmly received by Azerbaijani Minister of Culture Adil Karmali and senior government officials upon his arrival. PM Shehbaz is accompanied by a high-level delegation, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi.

According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, the two-day summit, starting today, is themed around 'A New ECO Vision for a Sustainable, Environmentally Resilient Future'. Prime Minister Sharif will present Pakistan’s perspective on key regional and global challenges during his address.
The PM will reiterate Pakistan’s strong commitment to ECO Vision 2025, focusing on deepening regional integration through enhanced trade, transport connectivity, and energy cooperation.
Key meetings on sidelines
In addition to attending the summit, the prime minister is also scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with fellow ECO leaders and high-level officials, where matters of mutual interest and regional collaboration will be discussed.
Officials say these engagements are aimed at strengthening Pakistan’s role in regional forums and exploring opportunities for sustainable development and policy alignment with ECO member states.
