Adviser to the prime minister, Rana Sanaullah said on Wednesday that Pakistan should back Saudi Arabia, Turkiye over the Abraham Accords.
Speaking on Samaa TV’s programme “Nadeem Malik Live”, he emphasised that Pakistan should align with the Arab nations on the matter. Sanaullah said that Pakistan ought to stand with the Muslim world, particularly on issues concerning the broader Middle East.
He reiterated that Iran’s strategic interest lies in moving forward together with Arab countries, Türkiye, and Pakistan. However, he said that Iran’s position today is different from what it was a month ago.

On the issue of Palestine, Sanaullah stressed that peace must prevail and that bloodshed should come to an end. “Great atrocities have taken place in Palestine; blood has been shed,” he remarked.
Addressing domestic political developments, the adviser stated that if it is the intent of the PTI leadership to remove Ali Amin Gandapur as the KP chief minister, then it will be their [PTI's leadership] decision. He added that if they wish to dissolve the assembly, they are free to do so.
“There is no threat to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly from our side,” he clarified. Commenting on political opposition, he said, “These people are a threat to themselves.”
Responding to legal developments, Sanaullah questioned, “Did Justice Qazi Faez Isa ever instruct them not to submit legal documents?” He also asked, “Was it Justice Isa who made them file affidavits?”

Separately on Monday, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has stated that if Pakistan was pressured regarding the Abraham Accords, the country will look after its national interests.
In a fiery interview on 'Nadeem Malik Live' on Samaa TV, the defence minister was asked by the host about the reports that Pakistan would be pressured soon to join the Abraham Accords. To this, Asif replied that they would see when the pressure comes, adding that consultations were underway in this regard.
"We will reply to this only when we are asked to be a part of this accord. If there is pressure on the Abraham Accords, we will see our interests," he stressed. "We will not be part of any US policy that harms Pakistan."
