Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted that the ongoing spell of monsoon rains will likely end by July 2.
However, another intense spell of heavy rainfall is expected to enter the country soon after, potentially disrupting daily life.
Met Office Deputy Director Irfan Wark said the current monsoon phase will continue until July 2, followed by a new system of widespread rains.
He added that the upcoming spell is expected to bring heavy rainfall across various parts of the country, particularly affecting upper and central Punjab as well as other regions. The rains are also expected to improve the overall water situation.
Authorities have advised citizens to stay informed and take necessary precautions during the upcoming weather events.
