Pakistan has initiated urgent measures to ensure the safety and welfare of its citizens, including pilgrims and students currently in Iran and Iraq.
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar shared the update via his official X (formerly Twitter) account, stating that the evacuation of 450 Pakistani Zaireen (pilgrims) from Iran was successfully carried out as of yesterday.
He added that arrangements are underway to evacuate 154 Pakistani students currently residing in Iran in the first batch.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Embassy in Iraq is in contact with pilgrims stranded due to ongoing airspace closures. Measures are being taken to ensure their safety and a potential evacuation plan is being developed.
