Adviser to the prime minister, Rana Sanaullah said on Thursday that no good could be expected from Modi’s madness, as tensions between Pakistan and India continued to escalate over recent political and security developments.
Expressing his thoughts on Samaa TV's "Nadeem Malik Live", Sanaullah stated that India knew Pakistan was a nuclear power. He added, “The Pakistani forces were among the best in the world.”
Sanaullah said that India became aware of this reality after the Pulwama incident.
He said: "India must have received a response to any adventurism through the government’s action on the day.
“There was no doubt that the nation was ready,” said Sanaullah, emphasising the country’s preparedness.
He warned that India would have to bear the consequences of any move against Pakistan.
The adviser said that it was clear the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) was behind terrorism in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He said, “Kulbhushan was a clear proof of India's involvement in terrorism.” He added, “Kulbhushan was captured in Balochistan; let us not describe him otherwise.”
Sanaullah referenced the Indus Waters Treaty and stated that it had been signed in 1960 in the presence of international guarantors.
He said it was clearly stated in the treaty that no party could unilaterally terminate or suspend it. “Modi's madness lay in attempting to stop the implementation of the Indus Waters Treaty,” he added.
Speaking about Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif, Sanaullah said: "Nawaz thought of national harmony."
Referring to Asif Zardari, he said: "Zardari is the president, and national unity is also expected from him."
Sanaullah said that the statement regarding the talks with the third party was public.
He said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari agreed that the issues in the provinces should be resolved through consensus.
Sanaullah confirmed that the issue of canals was formally discussed on the day.
He said: "The meeting of the Council of Common Interests is scheduled for 2 May. There will be an effort to ensure that experts from all four provinces participated in the meeting. Experts should clarify that these issues were technical matters,” said the adviser.
