Apple is gearing up to announce the long-rumored iPhone SE 4 on February 19, with CEO Tim Cook revealing the official launch date.
This fourth-generation model of the budget-friendly iPhone SE series is expected to come with some significant upgrades but with a price increase.
Pricing and storage options
The iPhone SE 4 will start at $499, which is $70 more than its predecessor, the iPhone SE 3. This higher starting price brings some concern, especially as the base model is rumoured to only offer 64GB of storage—an amount that might seem lacking in 2025, especially with most mid-range Android phones starting at 128 GB.
The iPhone SE 4 will come in three storage variants: 64GB, 128GB, and 256 GB. However, Apple’s standard pricing strategy could see an additional $100 for each storage upgrade, which means the 128GB version will likely retail for $599, while the 256GB model could hit $699.
In comparison, Google’s Pixel 9a may offer similar features but at a lower price, with the 128GB model possibly priced around $100 less than the iPhone SE 4, making it a competitive option in North American markets.
Expected features and design
The iPhone SE 4 is expected to sport a design similar to the iPhone 14, featuring a notch display for the first time in the SE series. It will be powered by the A18 chip, ensuring improved performance and longevity. All models will come with 8GB of RAM, and Face ID will replace Touch ID, marking a significant upgrade in security and user experience.
Rumours also suggest that the iPhone SE 4 will feature a 5.7-6.1 inch display, placing it closer to the iPhone XR size. It may also include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor as an alternative biometric option, though Face ID seems more likely.
Price in Pakistan
For Pakistani customers, the expected price of the iPhone SE 4 is Rs. 198,999, with the base model offering 128GB of internal storage and 6GB of RAM. Apple fans in Pakistan will have to wait for the official announcement of final pricing and availability.
