Birch Michael, Scoop’s tour manager, confirmed the rapper’s passing on August 31 through social media platforms Instagram and Facebook. In a heartfelt post, Michael expressed his deep sorrow and paid tribute to the late artist.
“It is with the heaviest of hearts I announce the passing of Isaac Freeman III, known professionally as Fatman Scoop,” Michael wrote on Facebook. “You taught me how to be the man I am today. I love you Scoop, thank you so much for everything you gave to me. Rest In Peace x.”
