Relief is on the way for Karachi residents as the Met Department forecasts a decrease in the intensity of heat this week.
The current weather in the city is partly cloudy, with sea breezes providing much-needed respite.
Winds are blowing from the southwest at a speed of 22 kilometres per hour, helping to moderate the temperature. Despite this, the maximum temperature is still expected to reach up to 36 degrees Celsius.
The Met Department has indicated that the weather will remain hot and humid over the next 24 hours. However, the restoration of sea breezes is expected to gradually ease the intense heat that has gripped the city in recent days.

Residents are advised to stay hydrated and take necessary precautions to cope with the hot and humid conditions. As always, staying indoors during peak heat hours and avoiding strenuous activities can help mitigate the effects of the high temperatures.
A couple of days ago, the Met Office had reported that Karachi could finally breathe a sigh of relief as the scorching heat wave that gripped the metropolis for four relentless days had finally dissipated. It reported that the recent heatwave, which saw temperatures soaring to a blistering 41.5 degrees Celsius, had come to an end.
During this period, residents endured sweltering conditions, exacerbated by soaring humidity levels. The initial day of the heatwave marked a staggering high of 41.5 degrees, with humidity contributing to an even more oppressive environment.
