Google has introduced a new AI-powered 'Video Remix' feature in Google Photos, allowing users to transform videos with cinematic lighting, artistic effects and background changes in just a few taps using its Gemini Omni model.
Announced on Wednesday, the new Video Remix feature is designed to simplify video editing by enabling users to apply AI-generated enhancements without using professional editing software.
Powered by Gemini Omni, Google's latest multimodal AI model, the feature can edit videos within seconds.
What Video Remix can do
Available through the Create tab in Google Photos, Video Remix offers several AI-powered editing options, including:

For instance, users can make a video appear as though it was filmed inside a greenhouse or apply a warm morning glow to outdoor footage.
Google said the feature is designed to help users create "share-worthy moments" without requiring advanced editing skills.

Part of Google's AI expansion
