The district administration has announced a public holiday across Vehari on July 11 in connection with the annual Urs of Baba Diwan Haji Sher.
Deputy Commissioner Khalid Javed said the three-day Urs celebrations will begin from July 9.
According to the official notification, July 11 will be observed as a public holiday across the district. The holiday has been announced to facilitate citizens and devotees during the three-day Urs of Baba Diwan Haji Sher.
Exams will continue as scheduled
The notification clarified that examinations being conducted by educational boards and universities will not be affected by the public holiday.
Students appearing in scheduled exams have been directed to follow their examination timetable as usual.
Essential depts to remain active
The district administration said administrative, medical and security institutions will continue to perform their responsibilities during the holiday.
Officials said arrangements will remain in place to ensure public safety, medical support and smooth administrative operations during the Urs.
