The world's leading toy manufacturer, Lego, has once again astonished enthusiasts by producing a full-scale replica of the famous sports car made by Swedish brand Koenigsegg.
The unique vehicle, built entirely from plastic Lego bricks, has also set a new world record as the fastest Lego car after reaching a speed of 111 kilometres per hour on a road circuit.
The car was driven by Koenigsegg's official test driver, Markus Lundh, at Britain's renowned Goodwood Circuit, where it reached a top speed of 111km/h.
The previous speed record for a Lego car stood at only 50km/h. The new model surpassed that mark by more than double.
A team of expert Lego designers spent seven and a half months and approximately 9,400 hours building the vehicle. Despite being made from plastic bricks, it closely resembles a genuine high-performance sports car.
The car weighs 1,800kg, including 400kg of Lego bricks. Unlike the original vehicle, the Lego version is powered by a compact but powerful electric motor.
