Pakistan's security forces have killed 26 terrorists in a large-scale intelligence-based operation conducted in areas along the Pak-Afghan border, Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar said on Wednesday.
The operation was launched following recent terrorist attacks, including an assault on an FC post in Musa Darra, and targeted key terrorist infrastructure and command networks.
In a statement shared on X, Atta Tarar said security forces were mobilized after the attack on the Frontier Corps (FC) post in Musa Darra and other terrorist incidents in North Waziristan and Bannu.
He said the operation was carried out on the basis of highly accurate and credible intelligence, enabling security forces to identify and target those responsible for the attacks.
According to the federal minister, 26 terrorists were killed during the operation.
Tarar alleged that the terrorists were operating under Indian patronage and were involved in planning and carrying out attacks against Pakistan's security forces and civilians.
