Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has resolved that Pakistan will continue its peace efforts during a meeting with the Chinese Foreign Minister.
According to details that surfaced on Monday, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met Field Marshal Asim Munir in Beijing. The Chinese Foreign Office spokesperson, the Field Marshal expressed pride in the friendship between Pakistan and China and briefed the Chinese side on progress in the United States-Iran talks.

The Chinese Foreign Minister reaffirmed support for Pakistan’s mediation efforts. The foreign minister also appreciated the visit to China by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir.

Wang Yi said relations between China and Pakistan were as solid as a rock and invincible, adding that the ties between Pakistan and China served as a model for the international community.
He added that both countries would continue to play an important role in promoting their traditional friendship in the future.
Separately, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir held an informal meeting with Chinese Premier Li Qiang during a grand reception ceremony at the Great Hall of the People.
The meeting took place as Field Marshal Asim Munir accompanied Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on his official visit to China.
During the ceremony, Chinese Premier Li Qiang warmly shook hands with Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. The two also exchanged views on the occasion, reflecting the close coordination between Pakistan and China.
