Important progress has been made on launching direct flights between Pakistan and Portugal, as both countries explore stronger air connectivity and deeper economic cooperation.
The development came during a meeting between the Portuguese ambassador and Prime Minister Youth Program Focal Person Shehryar Memon.
The Portuguese ambassador and Shehryar Memon discussed the possibility of starting direct flights between Pakistan and Portugal.
The ambassador expressed hope for early progress on launching air links, saying direct flights would benefit around 50,000 Pakistanis living in Portugal.
He said direct flights would also play an important role in promoting trade, tourism and investment between the two countries.
Stronger economic cooperation
Pakistan and Portugal also agreed to increase economic cooperation. Both sides acknowledged that the current trade volume between the two countries is not in line with its real potential.
