Lahore received rain accompanied by thunder in several areas, while the highest rainfall in the city was recorded in Saggian, where 8 millimetres of rain fell on Thursday.
Lakshmi Chowk received 5.6 millimetres of rain, while Pani Wala Talab and Gulshan Ravi each recorded 5 millimetres. Rainfall of 4.6 millimetres was recorded in Farrukhabad, 4.4 millimetres in Shadipura and 3.8 millimetres in Tajpura.
Intermittent rain also continued in Faisalabad and adjoining areas. In Faisalabad, the highest rainfall of 24 millimetres was recorded in Allama Iqbal Colony. Dogar Basti and Jail Road each received 23 millimetres of rain.
Ghulam Muhammadabad recorded 22 millimetres of rainfall, Gulistan Colony 21 millimetres and Madina Town 18 millimetres. WASA stated that operational staff had been deployed at all ponding points and all machinery had been made functional.
The WASA managing director has said that the staff would remain in the field until rainwater was cleared from all roads.
